Maratua Blue Diving Resort was born from three things: a passion for the sea, a love for this extraordinary island, and a belief that Maratua deserved to be shared with the world. When we first discovered these waters, we knew that this corner of East Kalimantan was something rare — something worth protecting, and worth celebrating.

Above the waterline, we built Maratua Blue with natural timber shaped by the woodworking traditions of the Indonesian archipelago. Every chalet and terrace carries the spirit of local culture — a reminder that you are a guest of this island, not just a visitor passing through. Beneath the surface of Maratua and Kakaban lie encounters that stay with you for a lifetime. Manta rays sail overhead in silent arcs. Sea turtles drift past with quiet grace. Then the ocean shifts — a barracuda storm rises from the deep, thousands of silver bodies spinning into a living vortex that blocks out the light.
